Overnight Oats
My on-repeat overnight oats recipe that I can adjust to match my cravings or needs.
Ingredients:
1 cup of rolled oats (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
1 cup of milk (I use the Oatmalk brand)
1 Tbsp of chia seeds (Can replace with flaxseeds)
1 Tbsp of maple syrup (Can replace with honey)
1 Tbsp of nut butter (I love sunbutter)
Optional mix-in ideas:
Half a banana, a few spoonfuls of fruit (like blueberries), chocolate chips, or yogurt
(Makes 1 serving)
Directions:
Place the oats, chia seeds, and maple syrup in the glass jar (I use a 16-oz wide-mouth mason jar)
Screw on the lid and shake up the contents until thoroughly combined
Remove the lid and pour in the milk
Stir the nut butter into the container
(Now is the time to add any of the optional mix-ins)Secure the lid and place it in the fridge overnight
And then the best part, enjoy
(I like to eat it within 2-3 days so it doesn’t get too mushy)
